FROM “GROWTH IN NUMBERS” TO “GROWTH IN VALUE” FOR VIETNAM’S TOURISM & RESORT SECTOR
On August 26, Vietnam Tourism & Resort Real Estate Forum 2026 took place at Ariyana Convention Centre Danang, bringing together government representatives, industry experts, associations and business leaders to discuss new growth drivers for Vietnam’s tourism and resort real estate market.
During the panel discussion, Mr. Nguyen Duc Quynh – Deputy General Director of Phu Long Real Estate Corporation shared a noteworthy perspective: tourism growth should not be measured only by visitor numbers, but by the value each visitor brings to a destination through longer stays, higher spending and richer experiences.
He emphasized that hotels and resorts of the future should go beyond simply providing accommodation. Instead, they need to become an integral part of the destination ecosystem, connecting hospitality with cuisine, culture, meetings and events, entertainment, shopping, sports and distinctive local experiences.
This shift will be essential for tourism and resort real estate to move beyond scale and create sustainable value for destinations, investors and Vietnam’s tourism industry.
