At DITF 2026, over 150 international buyers – including travel agencies, tour operators, and distribution partners from 11 source markets – will directly meet with businesses in Da Nang. These are not merely organizations coming to explore the destination, but decision-makers capable of determining which products will be included in their sales programs for clients in the following year. DITF is currently focusing on three main groups: leisure, MICE, and tour operations, with buyers introduced by travel associations from South Korea, Japan, China, Russia, Thailand, India, and many other markets.

Da Nang International Tourism Fair – DITF 2026, featuring the message “Connecting Partners, Creating Future”, takes place on the two main days of October 17-18, 2026 at Cung Hội nghị Quốc tế Ariyana Đà Nẵng
As plans for 2027 begin to take shape, the question is no longer simply “Is Da Nang attractive?”. What partners need to know more specifically is: which types are in demand, which products are unique enough to sell, how long will guests stay, and what reasons will make them spend more or return?
Looking at market data for 2026, several demand trends are becoming quite clear.
Beach resorts remain the foundation, but buyers need more than a “flight + hotel” package
In the first 6 months of 2026, Da Nang welcomed nearly 5.2 million international arrivals, an increase of 28.7% over the same period. South Korea continues to be the largest market, accounting for 20.55%, followed by China at 8.6%, India at 6.68%; the US, Australia, the UK, Thailand, Russia, and Japan are also among the markets with significant proportions.
These numbers show that leisure – resort tourism – remains the “backbone” of the international market in Da Nang. However, buyers for 2027 will likely not just be looking for another 3-day, 2-night beach resort package similar to what has been sold for years.
Data for the first 5 months of 2026 reveals that international visitors stayed an average of nearly 1.97 days/arrival, while the number of overnight guests increased by 23.7% over the same period.
For international tour companies, easier-to-sell products for 2027 might be programs combining resorts with culinary arts, culture, entertainment, golf, wellness, or linked itineraries between Da Nang – Hoi An and Central region destinations.
In other words, the sea is still the reason guests come, but the accompanying experiences are what determine how long they stay and how much they spend.
MICE: buyers need a destination capable of operating the entire journey, not just a conference room
MICE continues to be one of the product groups with clear growth data in Da Nang.
In the first 6 months of 2026, the city recorded 101 MICE groups with 28,428 guests. In June alone, Da Nang hosted a group of approximately 5,000 guests, featuring a program combining conferences, accommodation, sightseeing, dining, and networking across multiple venues in the city.
Da Nang’s MICE 2026 program also aims to support nearly 93,000 arrivals, an increase of about 12% compared to the previous year. Notably, this year’s policy applies to international groups of 30 or more and domestic groups of 70 or more, showing that the city is targeting not only thousand-person congresses but also mid-sized incentive and corporate event groups.
This is a point MICE buyers will look at quite closely for 2027.
They don’t just ask how many people the ballroom can hold. They need to know how many hotel rooms the city has available simultaneously, whether moving a large group is convenient, if there are seaside gala venues, where team-building can be organized, what experiences accompanying persons can have, and whether a one- or two-day resort extension is possible after the conference.
Da Nang currently has about 62,000 accommodation rooms, of which over 31,000 belong to 164 4-5 star establishments. This is a huge advantage for MICE buyers, but the opportunity in 2027 will lie in packaging that capacity into a seamless journey: meeting – accommodation – gala – experience – extension stay.
Golf is increasingly capable of becoming the main reason for the trip
Golf is also showing a large enough scale to be considered a separate product rather than an add-on activity.
In the first 6 months of 2026, Da Nang recorded over 174,991 rounds of golf, up 5.6% over the same period. The South Korean market – which remains the city’s largest international source of guests – is simultaneously the prominent group at Central region golf courses.
For golf-specialized buyers, what they need is not just a list of courses.
A more commercially viable program often has to address tee times, transportation, distances between resorts and golf courses, options for multiple courses in the same itinerary, post-round dining, spa or physical recovery, and separate programs for non-golfing companions.
This is also where Da Nang has a competitive edge for 2027: golf can become the main axis of the vacation, while the sea, cuisine, and wellness add further reasons for guests to extend their stay.
For resorts and tour companies, what buyers need to see is therefore not “we have golf,” but a complete golf itinerary ready to be put on the sales shelf immediately.

Wedding: a beautiful beach is not enough to sell a destination wedding
Wedding tourism is another segment increasing its presence in Da Nang’s product strategy.
In the first half of 2026, the city hosted and consulted for 28 international wedding events. In early February alone, a wedding for an Indian couple with over 250 guests was held in Da Nang featuring various traditional ceremonies. The city also currently implements specific programs to support wedding tourism, including surveys, organizational support, and enhanced personalized experiences.
This is particularly notable data for buyers from India – a market that accounted for 6.68% of total international arrivals to Da Nang in the first 6 months.
At OTM Mumbai 2026, Da Nang actively promoted premium MICE, weddings, and leisure, highlighting the need for personalization, cultural depth, and comprehensive event solutions tailored to the Indian market.
This indicates that wedding buyers in 2027 will likely have very practical concerns regarding the ability to organize multiple ceremonies over several days, room counts, outdoor spaces, vegetarian or religiously compliant menus, logistics for several hundred guests, pre- and post-wedding activities, as well as the ability to personalize each experience.
Therefore, the competitive advantage no longer lies in the “wedding by the beach” narrative. Buyers need to know whether a resort or a destination has the full capacity to operate the entire wedding journey.

Wellness is shifting from a spa service to a reason for choosing a trip
If wellness previously appeared mainly as an amenity in resorts, 2026 shows that Da Nang is actively developing this experiential group at a destination scale.
The city’s recent programs incorporate beach yoga, meditation, sound healing, nature experiences, healthcare, and restorative retreats into the same product system. The Da Nang tourism portal even positions the city under a “3-in-1” itinerary model, combining relaxation, healthcare, and energy regeneration.
Notably, wellness is meeting exactly a market segment demanding longer stays.
In the first 8 months of 2026, Da Nang welcomed over 411,000 arrivals from Russia and the CIS, up 94.2% over the same period. The city identifies this as a potential group for long beach vacations, wellness, golf, culinary, and cultural experiences.
For buyers in 2027, this opens up a product type different from regular leisure: 5–7 night or longer programs, where wellness is not “a massage session,” but part of a journey encompassing yoga, therapy, nutrition, meditation, light exercise, deep sleep, nature, and cultural experiences.
