The Ariyana Convention Centre (ACC), the first and only oceanfront convention and exhibition centre, officially opens on October 2017. Owned by Sovico Holdings and managed by Furama Resort Danang with over 20 years of experience, the ACC is conveniently featured a flexible pillarless Grand Ballroom, a large exhibition foyer and six function rooms catering for up to 3,000 people.

Situated on prime land to the south of Furama Villas Danang and Furama Resort Danang, the ACC is part of the 27-ha Ariyana Danang Tourism Complex, which also consists of Ariyana Beach Resort and Suites Da Nang with 1,000 rooms and suites make it the Vietnam’s largest convention and exhibition complex, the ACC is built for the requirement of 25th Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC) held in Danang. It successfully hosted APEC 2017 meetings, attended by 21 leaders of member countries as well as 15,000 representatives of major enterprises and 6,000 members of international media.

The statue of Mother, which was inspired by the figure of Mother Au Co and her children gazing towards the East Sea, was officially unveiled at the Ariyana International Convention Palace in the early days of the APEC 2017. According to Mr. Vu Tien Loc – former chairman of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Vietnam, the mother represents the values of tolerance and sustainable development. This profound message was also embedded within the 1000 bronze smaller replicas of this Mother statue presented to international friends.

*According to the legend, Vietnamese people are descendants of Father Lac Long Quan and Mother Au Co. After a 3-year-and-10-month pregnancy, Mother Au Co gave birth to 100 eggs which hatched 100 sons. Lac Long Quan took 50 children to the sea, and Au Co took 50 children to the mountains, where they governed and learned to build houses, cultivate food and live in harmony with the natural environment. Thus, all Vietnamese people are proud to be the offspring of dragon and fairies.
