From October 02–04, 2026, Ariyana Convention Centre Danang became the venue for the 20th National Congress of Cardiology (VNCC20) – one of Vietnam’s major scientific events in the field of cardiology. Over three days in Danang, the Congress brought together more than 2,500 delegates, nearly 350 experts and speakers, and more than 135 scientific sessions, creating a space for connection between research, clinical practice, education and innovation in cardiology.
Organized by the Vietnam Society of Cardiology, VNCC20 was held under the theme “Cardiology in a New Era: Integration – Pioneering – Implementation”, reflecting the direction of bringing new advances in cardiology into practical healthcare.
A KEY DAY FEATURING THE OPENING CEREMONY AND MESSAGES FOR CARDIOVASCULAR HEALTH
Following the initial activities on October 02, the VNCC20 programme continued with its main day at Ariyana Convention Centre Danang, where the official Opening Ceremony marked one of the key moments of the Congress.
Alongside the opening of the scientific programme, the Vietnam Society of Cardiology officially launched the 50/30 Programme – For Community Cardiovascular Health, with the goal of having 50% of people with hypertension successfully managed and controlled by 2030.
This message expanded the scope of a specialized scientific event beyond the exchange of medical knowledge and advances, towards encouraging concrete actions to improve cardiovascular health within the community.
MORE THAN 135 SCIENTIFIC SESSIONS COVERING KEY ISSUES IN CARDIOLOGY
One of the highlights of VNCC20 was its scientific programme featuring more than 135 sessions, bringing together experts and speakers across a wide range of cardiology disciplines.
The programme covered common and highly practical issues such as hypertension, heart failure and coronary artery disease, alongside specialized and interdisciplinary topics. Discussions also extended to emerging approaches, including the application of artificial intelligence (AI) to support clinical practice.
Through plenary sessions, specialized sessions, forums, training and practical programmes, as well as in-depth scientific activities, VNCC20 provided opportunities for experts to stay updated on the latest advances, share practical experiences and discuss emerging challenges facing cardiology in a new era.
A SPACE CONNECTING PROFESSIONAL EXPERTISE, BUSINESSES AND THE HEALTHCARE ECOSYSTEM
Alongside the scientific programme, the exhibition area at Ariyana Convention Centre Danang remained vibrant throughout the Congress.
The space provided opportunities for delegates to meet and exchange with businesses, brands and organizations operating across the healthcare ecosystem. As a result, VNCC20 served not only as a platform for professional knowledge exchange, but also as a point of connection between the medical community, businesses and solutions supporting the healthcare sector.
The combination of conference sessions, exhibition and networking activities also contributed to creating a comprehensive event ecosystem, where different activities took place simultaneously and complemented one another.

The selection of Ariyana Convention Centre Danang as the venue for VNCC20 further demonstrates Danang’s role in hosting large-scale conferences, scientific events and specialized industry gatherings.
With a three-day programme bringing together thousands of delegates, hundreds of experts, and a system of concurrent sessions, exhibitions and networking activities, VNCC20 placed high demands on the event venue in terms of space, operational capacity and event coordination.
As scientific conferences continue to expand in scale and diversify in terms of interaction formats, a conference venue needs to provide more than adequate space. It must also effectively support the entire delegate journey – from attending scientific sessions and training programmes to visiting exhibitions, networking and professional exchange.
CONNECTING KNOWLEDGE AND INNOVATION IN DANANG
From October 02–04, 2026, VNCC20 brought a large-scale programme to Danang, with the participation of the cardiology community across a wide range of disciplines.
From the Opening Ceremony and the 50/30 Programme for community cardiovascular health to more than 135 scientific sessions, the exhibition area and networking activities, the Congress created a space where knowledge, innovation, practice and community converged.
For Ariyana Convention Centre Danang, VNCC20 also marked another milestone in the series of scientific and specialized events hosted at the venue, further demonstrating its capacity to accommodate large-scale conferences in Danang.
