Some photographs, when revisited years later, do more than recall a building; they remind us of an aspiration.
Exactly nine years ago, on July 25, 2017, Ariyana was honored to welcome Group Chairwoman Dr. Nguyễn Thị Phương Thảo to visit the construction site of Ariyana Convention Centre Danang and chair the first meeting in the Grand Ballroom, which was then entering its final stage of completion.

Newly completed flooring stretched across vast spaces that had neither a stage nor the lighting of international events. Yet everyone present that day shared the same belief: this venue would become a landmark of national stature.
With a capacity of 2,500 delegates, a pillarless design and international-standard facilities, the Grand Ballroom became the heart of Vietnam’s largest convention complex at the time. Connected with Furama Resort Danang, the integrated system could accommodate up to 5,000 guests across 15 conference and exhibition spaces.

Only a few months later, that belief became a reality.
Ariyana was selected as the main venue for the APEC 2017 Economic Leaders’ Week, hosting approximately 80% of its key events and welcoming 21 leaders of APEC economies, more than 15,000 delegates, thousands of businesses and around 6,000 international journalists. Events such as ABAC, the Vietnam Business Summit and the CEO Summit placed Ariyana firmly on the global MICE map.
Yet even more remarkable is the journey that followed APEC.
Over the past nine years, Ariyana has grown beyond its APEC legacy to become a destination for thousands of conferences, exhibitions and international events hosted by corporations and associations. From economic forums, international conferences and technology exhibitions to award ceremonies and large-scale cultural events, Ariyana has consistently demonstrated professional operational capabilities aligned with international standards.

These efforts have been recognized through numerous prestigious awards:
* Best Convention Centre in Southeast Asia – M&C Asia Stella Awards.
* Best Convention Centre in Vietnam – World Luxury Awards 2025.
* Vietnam Best MICE Venue 2025.
* ASEAN MICE Venue 2026-2028, reaffirming Ariyana’s leading position in Southeast Asia.
Looking back at those photographs, it is deeply moving to remember the first meeting held in that still-empty ballroom.
There was no magnificent stage.
There were no thousands of delegates.
There was no international media.
There were only people reviewing every drawing, inspecting every component and discussing every detail together as they prepared for an event that would draw the world’s attention to Đà Nẵng.

That is the most beautiful image of a building: not when it is complete, but when people share a common belief and work together to create it.
We extend our sincere appreciation to Dr. Nguyễn Thị Phương Thảo, the Sovico Group leadership, consultants, contractors, the teams of Furama Resort Danang and Ariyana Convention Centre, and the thousands of engineers, workers and partners who contributed to creating this iconic venue.

And I believe the journey of Ariyana Convention Centre Danang will continue to achieve many more successes and make an even greater contribution to the development of tourism in Vietnam and Đà Nẵng.
