1. EVENT RECAP:

From September 23-24, 2024, the HorecFex 2024 Danang – Vietnam event was successfully held at Ariyana Convention Centre Danang under the theme “Exhibition & Forum on Technology and Innovation in the Hospitality”. Over the two-day event, there were an exhibition featuring 50 booths showcasing technology products from the supply chain of services and tourism. The forum included 9 workshop sessions with 40 presentations and discussions on the application of new technologies, digital transformation, and hotel management in the new era. The workshops featured the participation and insights of more than 55 speakers, both domestic and international, from leading companies in the industry such as Microsoft, Oracle, FPT, etc. Notably, speaker Hoàng Nam Tiến attended and shared on the topic ‘Leadership & Leading Change’ in the morning session on September 24, 2024. HorecFex 2024 Danang – Vietnam welcomed over 2,500 attendees, including entrepreneurs, business leaders, and CEOs from the Horeca industry (Hotel, Restaurant, Catering), and more.

Speaking on behalf of the host city, Mr. Hồ Kỳ Minh, Permanent Vice Chairman of the Da Nang People’s Committee, stated: “The rapid growth of the tourism industry has driven hotels, restaurants, and F&B service providers to continuously enhance their quality and adopt cutting-edge technologies to elevate guest experiences. The Da Nang People’s Committee fully supports initiatives that host internationally scaled events such as HorecFex 2024 Danang – Vietnam, which focus on both technology and tourism. The gathering of exhibitors and international speakers not only ensures the success of the event but also demonstrates deep interest in the development of the hospitality industry in Vietnam, and specifically in Da Nang. I hope that Da Nang will continue to be an ideal destination and a top choice for international events, drawing the attention of both domestic and international visitors.”

Mrs. Đỗ Thị Hồng Xoan, Vice Chairwoman of the Vietnam Tourism Association and Chairwoman of the Vietnam Hotel Association, shared that Vietnam is currently ranked by the World Tourism Organization (UNWTO) as one of the 10 fastest-growing tourism destinations globally. Since joining UNWTO in 1981, Vietnam now boasts over 38,000 tourist accommodations, including around 265 five-star hotels, 480 four-star hotels, and 1,000 three-star hotels. The adoption of new and advanced technologies to shape the future and lead the industry’s development in this era of integration is increasingly urgent and critical.

Mrs. Đỗ Thị Hồng Xoan, Vice Chairwoman of the Vietnam Tourism Association, Chairwoman of the Vietnam Hotel Association, delivers her remarks on Vietnam’s tourism industry and officially opens HorecFex 2024, Danang – Vietnam.

Mrs. Xoan also emphasized that HorecFex 2024, Danang – Vietnam is the first and largest technology-focused event in Vietnam’s tourism industry, held in Da Nang. It aims to provide the latest insights into the application of innovative technologies in the operation of hotels, restaurants, and F&B service providers.

Mr. André Pierre Gentzsch, General Manager of Furama – Ariyana Danang International Tourism Complex, shared: “Famous as a hub for top events and conferences in Vietnam, Ariyana Convention Centre Danang is proud to be the creator of HorecFex Vietnam. This is the first time in Vietnam that an exhibition and forum specializing in tourism and hospitality combined with innovative technologies has been organized, promising to provide many valuable opportunities and insights for businesses.”

4. HORECFEX 2025 DANANG – VIETNAM

Building on the success of this year’s event, Horecfex 2025 is set to return to the Ariyana Convention Center Danang during the first week of September. The event is projected to host over 200 exhibition booths, offering an even more dynamic range of topics. Attendees can look forward to an emphasis on cutting-edge technology applications, including artificial intelligence (AI) and innovative digital solutions.
