OVER 800 MEDICAL EXPERTS GATHER AT THE 2026 INTERNATIONAL INTER-HOSPITAL SCIENTIFIC CONFERENCE
On August 1–2, 2026, the 2026 International Inter-Hospital Scientific Conference took place at Cung Hội nghị Quốc tế Ariyana Đà Nẵng. The event brought together more than 800 experts, doctors, and scientists from Vietnam and abroad.
Under the theme “Evidence-Based Medicine from Multidimensional Perspectives”, the conference created a large-scale platform for professional and academic exchange. At the same time, it strengthened connections among hospitals, universities, and healthcare experts.
7 hospitals connecting medical knowledge
This year’s conference featured the participation of seven hospitals. The participating institutions included Bệnh viện Đại học Y Hà Nội, Bệnh viện Đà Nẵng, and Bệnh viện Đại học Y Dược TP.HCM. Hospitals from Bình Dương, Gia Lai, Ninh Bình, and Hà Giang also joined the event.
Notably, the program welcomed numerous international experts. Delegates came from Japan, Thailand, China, and Taiwan (China).
This was also the first time the Inter-Hospital Scientific Conference was held in Đà Nẵng. Over the years, the scale of the event has continued to expand. From an initial network of three hospitals, the 2026 conference has grown into a collaboration involving seven hospitals.
Nearly 200 in-depth scientific presentations and activities
Over the two-day conference, nearly 200 scientific presentations and activities were conducted, covering a wide range of medical specialties.
Key areas included cardiology, surgery, neurology, oncology, and organ transplantation. The program also addressed emergency and intensive care medicine, as well as diagnostic imaging. Nursing and clinical nutrition were also given significant attention.
Notably, artificial intelligence in healthcare emerged as one of the conference’s prominent topics. This reflects the increasingly important role of technology in modern medical practice.
Activities were delivered in various formats. In addition to specialist presentations, the program featured keynote sessions, satellite symposiums, and expert discussions. As a result, delegates had numerous opportunities to update their knowledge and exchange practical experience.
Live Cases and advanced medical technologies
One of the highlights of the conference was the Live Case sessions. Surgical and interventional procedures were broadcast live to the conference halls.
This allowed delegates to observe techniques in real time. At the same time, experts were able to analyze and discuss each procedure directly.
A range of advanced medical technologies was also introduced. Highlights included Da Vinci robotic surgery and CORI robotic-assisted knee replacement.
In addition, the program featured endoscopic spine surgery and congenital heart interventions. Complex coronary artery interventions also attracted considerable attention.
Bệnh viện Đà Nẵng contributes 31 scientific presentations and activities
As one of the key participating institutions, Bệnh viện Đà Nẵng contributed 31 scientific presentations and activities to the conference. These included 29 professional presentations and two live surgical and interventional demonstrations.
Key topics included living-donor liver transplantation and neurosurgery. Other areas covered gastrointestinal cancer surgery, cardiology, and stroke treatment.
In particular, topics related to AI, nursing, and clinical nutrition were also presented. Through these contributions, the professional capabilities of Đà Nẵng’s healthcare sector continued to be showcased to the medical community in Vietnam and internationally.
From scientific exchange to sustainable healthcare connections
The conference went beyond sharing the latest research. More importantly, the event aimed to build a collaborative network among healthcare institutions.
Through the exchange of data and clinical experience, hospitals can work together to improve treatment quality. At the same time, training and technology transfer activities can be further strengthened.
As part of the program, TP. Đà Nẵng also presented a Certificate of Merit to TS. Tsai Chien-Sung, former Director of Tri-Service General Hospital. The recognition acknowledged his contributions to medical cooperation and professional development with Đà Nẵng.
The 2026 International Inter-Hospital Scientific Conference concluded with many significant professional achievements. The event also contributed to strengthening Đà Nẵng’s position as an increasingly important connection point for the regional scientific and healthcare community.
